Can a webhook wait until an agent's change is approved?

Wenke Li

An external system needs record updates, but an agent's unreviewed draft shouldn't start the final workflow. Which Busabase event should the webhook listen for? If the proposed change is rejected, does the downstream system need to handle anything?

Listen for record.updated (or record.created for a brand-new record). Both fire only after a person approves the change and it is merged. An agent's draft on its own never triggers them.

If the change is rejected, nothing is sent: there is no separate "rejected" event, so your system has nothing to undo. No message about that record simply means the draft never went live.
