Can I subscribe to changes on a specific record without receiving updates for the whole table?

QiangDiao Li

I work with a shared project table, but I only need updates on a few projects. Does Busabase let me follow individual records and get notified when someone adds a comment or changes the status? Ideally, I could choose which changes trigger a notification and unfollow the record once my part of the work is finished.

Not at the individual-record level yet. In the current Busabase workspace, you can open the project Base, choose More actions → Subscribe, and later choose Unsubscribe from the same menu. That follows activity on the Base, so it will not limit notifications to just the few projects you care about. Subscriptions can also come from a parent folder.

There is no “Follow this record” control or per-record rule for “comments only” or “status changes only.” A teammate can @mention you in a comment on a particular record; that mention appears in your Inbox with a link back to the record. That is a way to call your attention to a specific project, but it is not automatic monitoring of every comment or status change.

If you need record-level following, which should trigger it: every edit, comments, status changes, or only a chosen status? Should notifications arrive in the app, by email, or both? We would use those details to define the feature; we have not committed to a release date.
