After filtering records in Busabase for a colleague to review, will sending the current page link show them the same results? What is the difference between a temporary filter and a saved view in this situation? I want us to review the same set of records without having to recreate the filters separately.

Sending the current browser URL only works reliably if the filters live on a saved view and your colleague already has access to that Base. Unsaved, on-the-fly filters may stay only on your screen.

(Diagram: save view → permission → open same view.)

(Local demo: sharing is access control on the folder/Base—not only a link.)

(Local demo: share dialog for nodes; colleagues still need permission unless you intentionally publish.)
What to do
- Build the filter set you want them to see.
- Save it as a named view (so filters persist on that view’s config).
- Copy the link to that view (
/base/…/viewIdstyle) or tell them the view name. - Confirm they can open the Base (folder/Base membership or share). Private Bases require login with access—the link alone does not grant it.
How to verify
- Open the link in a private window as that colleague (or ask them): the same filters should apply.
- If they see all rows, either filters weren’t saved on the view, or you’re looking at a different view tab.
Boundaries
- Ad-hoc filters you haven’t saved may not travel with a pasted URL.
- Link ≠ permission (same rule as single-record share discussed elsewhere on the forum).
- For outsiders with no account, you need an intentional publish/embed path—not a private filtered view link.
Save the view, share access, then share the view link.
Prompt you can give an agent
Create a saved view named “Review set – {topic}” with these filters: …. Share instructions for colleague {name}: open that view after confirming Base access. Do not rely on unsaved filter chips in my personal session.
Saved view + access beats “here’s whatever I happened to filter.”
