We use Busabase to manage client requests. We want clients to be able to check the status and latest updates on their specific requests at any time, but we don't want them to see the entire table, internal notes, or information regarding other clients. Is there a way to share just a single record? For clients who only check in occasionally, is it necessary to invite them into the workspace?
Is it possible to share the progress of just a single task with an external client?

Yes. For an occasional check, you can share one record with a read-only Embed Link to its record detail. The client does not need to join your workspace. The link expires after 15 minutes by default and can last up to 24 hours, so it is not a permanent “check anytime” URL.
Before sharing, put only the status, progress updates, and attachments that client may see in a separate client-facing Base and record. A record-detail link does not hide selected fields or rewrite the record’s content. Do not link to your internal task record if it includes private notes or other client information; check the linked view before sending it.
For ongoing self-service access at any time, you would need a client portal with its own access controls. A temporary Embed Link alone does not provide durable per-client access.
