I want the agent to compile data from industry reports into Busabase, but the original text needs to be verified during the review process. Can we require a source link for every record—meaning a submission cannot be made without one? If the source is a PDF, I would also like the page number to be noted to make locating the information easier.
When compiling industry data, is it possible to make the source link a mandatory field for submission to review?

Yes. In Busabase, add a Source link field to the Base and mark it required. A new record, including one proposed by an agent for review, cannot be submitted without a value in that field. Keep a separate Page number field so reviewers can locate passages in PDFs.
The required setting checks that a value is present; it does not verify that the link works or supports the claim. For PDF-only page numbers, there is no conditional “required only when the source is a PDF” rule on the Base. Ask the agent to include the page and excerpt, and have the reviewer check them before approving. Is the source always a public URL, or do you also work with uploaded/private PDFs?
